About Us : About Pairvi

Public Advocacy Initiaves for Rights and Values in India (PAIRVI) was formed in 1998 as a resolve of civil society organizations working in North India to strengthen advocacy skills of grassroots organizations working in North India and especially in the Hindi speaking belt. Pairvi grew out of a strong belief that reducing the gap between public policy and aspirations of people is a pre requisite for democracy, and civil society organizations have a key role in putting forward the voice of people in the policy making. PAIRVI’s interventios are focused on (but not limited to) capacity building of grassroots voluntary organizations in Northern and Central India. Its major concerns and interventions include capacity building of grassroots organizations in advocacy, strengthening human rights infrastructure in the country and promote and encourage awareness and access to child rights, right to food and livelihood and right to economic & environmental justice. PAIRVI has provided inputs to hundreds of social activists who share our vision of participatory democracy, our commitment to create space for masses in the public policy making and our concern for Human Rights and rule of law.

PAIRVI is registered under S.25 of the Indian Companies Act, 1956 as a non-profit making company.
