1. National Peoples Tribunal on Climate Crisis

The National Peoples Tribunal will explore legal spaces available to generate state accountability to mitigate and protect peope from climate change impacts. Besides, it would also send a strong message to the developed countries to conclude a fair and just climate deal.

2. A Collective Intervention: Beyond Copenhagen

The intervention is a joint collaboration between a number of CSOs having different skills and expertise and working with a range of primary stakeholders, policymakers, NGO networks and media. It involves a number of organizations with varying experience ranging from grassroots works with farmers and peasant communities, policy analysis, advocacy and lobbying, media and education, scientific exploration in climate change, sustainable agriculture and food security. The intervention is based on the understanding that there is an urgency to work in collaborative action on climate change, sustainable agriculture and food security issues and proposes to address these issues through a variety of actions at local, state, national and global level. The goal of the intervention is to inform and educate the stakeholders on manifestations – likely impact and policy development on climate change and at the same time encourage environment building to broader policy formulation on climate change. The actions undertaken by the Collective included awareness and education to primary stakeholders, political mobilization, working with media, collecting evidences of manifestations and impact of climate change, help evolving an informed and participatory country position in international negotiation. 3. Pairvi's Intervention At Bolivia Climate Change Conference

Beyond Copenhagen collective participated in Conference on Climate Change and Rights of the Mother Earth organized at Cochabamba, Bolivia during 23rd to 27th April 2010. The Conference was called by Bolivian president Mr. Evo Morales, as a response to failed climate congress at Copenhagen in December 2009. The participation was extremely important in the view that there was almost no representation of Indian and Asian perspectives in the congress. Read more
